Runners with Disabilities
-AWDs must be able to run the course
-Tethers may be used for athletes with a visually impairment
-Leg prosthetics may be used for amputees.
-Crutches, braces, or poles may be used if indicated/necessary, with approval from the RD.
Wheelchair Athletes:
Since the majority of all of the courses are in trails, hog ruts, and sand... it is not suitable for athletes in wheelchairs.
However, if you want to come out and compete, I can design an alternate course that matches the distance on the dirt/gravel forest roads to make it happen for you! Just reach out to [email protected] and we can make it happen for you!

Gender Identity - Gender Expression
You are who you are, and I love you for who you are.
LGBT+ Athletes
We love and support everyone. It doesn't matter what your background is, or what your sexuality is. Visibility matters. Our goal is to create an intentional space for all people.
We want to make it clear that our races are for everyone.

Non-Binary Athletes
People whose gender is neither male nor female; including but not limited to genderqueer, agender, bigender.
Society identifies these as masculine and feminine, although what is considered masculine and feminine changes over time and varies by culture. Some people feel that their gender identity cannot be simply defined by the expected binary terms of ‘man’ or ‘woman’. Instead, they experience their gender in another way. Typically, we refer to this group of people as being ‘non-binary’.
The term non-binary refers to a person:Identifying as either having a gender which is in-between or beyond the two categories ‘man’ and ‘woman’, as fluctuating between ‘man’ and ‘woman’, or as having no gender, either permanently or some of the time.
We want to acknowledge, respect, and provide opportunity in the registration process to express their desired pronouns.
Please email [email protected] after registration and we will amend our records.
You worked hard to compete and run! You deserve it and we want to make that happen for you. Again, please email [email protected] so we can also have Non-Binary Awards for you.

You are who YOU ARE.
We will accept each registrant as they register themselves.

Just Note: A transgender male (female-to-male) entrant can register to compete as a male. Transgender male runners cannot register to compete as a female if they have already begun hormone treatment for gender transition. That includes testosterone, HGH, or any other banned substance as defined by the World Antidoping Agency.

If you don't know what pronouns to use, ask. Be polite and respectful; if you use the wrong pronoun, apologize and move on. Respect the terminology a transgender or non-binary person uses to describe their identity. Don't make assumptions about a transgender person's sexual orientation.
